Update to the Update

I wrote yesterday's update in the morning and then went to the hospital in the afternoon. Little did I know that the wheels would start turning and talk of going home would be happening!

When I got to Nora yesterday her Nurse Jan informed me that her car seat challenge test was ordered for next Wednesday the 26th! I must have looked at her a little blankly even though I know what that is and what that means. She says, "that means little Miss Nora could be going home as soon as Memorial Weekend!"

WHAT? Home? You mean we can take this little peanut of a baby home? Yes, of course that is our goal and what we want but when a "deadline" or sorts is put on it panic mode sets in just a little bit!

So we are excited! But we are also not too excited. We know how this works. There are lots of reasons why she may not be home by Memorial Day. We know that everything is taken day by day. We could go day by day and have no idea when we will bring her home and then get there one day and they will say she can go home tomorrow. Just how it all works. And then they could say she is going home tomorrow and then tomorrow comes and they say no, it will be the next day or the next week.

Keeping our prayers towards her coming home when ever is best for her! Trying to remember that is the key here. Don't want her home too early if she isn't ready (or we aren't ready) for that!
