On Her Way

The updates have been sparse, I know. Sorry about that. I thought I would update more on here but the hospital blocks Blogger so I can't blog when I am there. And when I am home I am either pumping or sleeping. Literally that is all I do at home. But tonight popcorn is being popped so I WILL stay up for that and will squeak in a blog tonight too!

Nora is doing fantastic. A poster child for 30 week preemies. On Saturday, she passed the 4 pound mark. On Sunday, she moved from her isolette to her big girl crib! She has started to check out breast feeding a little bit but still has a ways to go with that. She is as cute as can be.

We don't know how long she will be in the hospital. Generally, she needs to maintain her body temperature in her crib while gaining weight steadily. She also will need to feed orally by bottle and/or breast. Anna was in for five weeks. Nora is half way there and following a similar path as Anna. We will see! Being home around Memorial Day would be fantastic and a great way to start the summer.

Our routines are starting to solidify. I went back to work part time a fews hours a day last week. Feels good to be there and to see everyone! But it also has helped to get some routine back into life. A lot of running around but doing it knowing that this is the short term. Knowing that before we know it we will be bringing Nora home and getting into our new normal. So anxious for that. To be together as a family of four!!

She is so precious! What a beautiful little girl. I'm so happy to hear she's doing so well. And glad to hear you're getting back into a routine as much as you can. You never realize until you're on bed rest how important routine can be to keeping you sane. I'll be keeping Nora in my thoughts and prayers that she continues to gain weight and gets to leave the hospital in a few weeks. Good luck and I'll be keeping an eye out for updates!
