January Check-In

I know that I need to check in on my goals every once and a while in order to hold myself accountable. Rewards are needed for a job well done and this check in gets me back on track for those that aren't going so well.   So here goes it - how did I do with my 2009 goals in January. 
  1. Blogging at least once a week!  Check.  I have done that and more and it has been good!  There aren't many people reading it and almost no comments but it is still a great outlet for me.  I would like to continue to focus on writing and not just updating. 

  2. Keeping my room clean and clothes picked up!  Double check.  I am very proud to report that I have put away my clothes every night and none of my clothes are in the chair in my room!  This has been easier than I thought as it is a bad habit that I have had pretty much all my life!  

  3. Growing spiritually through prayer and the bible!  Triple check.  I am on a roll.  Thanks to my fabulous small group I have dove into the book of James.  Great timing to have some "assignments" and then have a great leader and group discussion.  

  4. And here is where it always goes downhill... Eating better and exercising.   No check mark here.  I would say I am aware of the goal at all times.  I am finding it overwhelming to make the changes I need to make.   Did get the Wii Fit out this month and used it more than I have in a long time but nothing that I can call consistent exercise.   An excuse yes, but I can't wait for it to be nicer out so we can get out and walk/run outside! I also need to get a hold on my emotional eating problem.  I definitely self medicate with food.  Some things to work on for February.

Hey Tina!
I totally love your blog so much. It's such a great way to keep up with what is going on with you guys. I'm glad that your goals are going well so far this year. I too am struggling with eating and exercising. I started Weight Watchers about a week ago...again-so we'll see how that goes. Good luck this month!!!
