Thursday night started with having a sleep over with Brev so that Heath and Jill could have a fabulous date night! Anna and Brev have so much fun playing together and do it so well! It was a nice start to our long weekend!

On the 4th we headed to my aunt and uncle's in Rosemount for a pool party. My cousin was home from Ohio with his wife and son, Tyler. It was an early 2nd birthday party for him! This was the first time we have met Tyler and boy was he a sweetie and cutie! We always enjoy the pool and hospitality! Thanks Curt and Margaret! This year was especially fun in the pool since Anna has taken swim lessons and can keep her head above the water in the shallow end of the pool!

After we headed home we waited for Scott, Angie and the kids to get into the Cities and then headed to Coon Rapids for the fireworks. I was tired and wasn't real excited about going but boy am I glad we did! They have the best fireworks show. I don't know how many times I thought, this must be the finale and then there were more! And we could sit practically right under them so they were huge and it was just really a great show! We will return for sure! Thanks to Chad and his co-worker we had a good parking and exit plan so we weren't stuck there for hours trying to get out like the last time Chad and I went to these fireworks!

Saturday was the triathlon and then we all (Myself, Chad, Anna, Scott, Angie, Emily, Logan, and my mom, Linda) headed to Valleyfair. Yeah, we thought it was kind of crazy to go after racing in a triathlon but Chad's company had a discount day and then savings were too good to pass up. Boy were we glad we went. You would think that on a Sat of a holiday weekend it would be extremely busy but it turned out to be just the opposite! There was nobody there! Nothing better than going to an amusement park and not having to wait in long lines for the rides. Everyone had a blast! We were all a little tired when we got there but after a couple of hours we took a nap during the IMAX movie and then had a great picnic lunch and we were rejuvenated. We ended up staying until 11:30 at night! What a great time we had!

Sunday was a nice and relaxing day of sleeping in and lounging in the air conditioning! We did though take in one more event with Chad and I taking Anna to see Kung Fu Panda! It was a fun new animated film that we all enjoyed. Those with kids I would recommend you seeing it!

Wow-what a busy weekend! Sounds like a great time though. Valleyfair... do you remember when we went for school and you got, um, sick after the balloon ride? Too funny! LOL!
That last picture is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I'm glad you guys had so much fun!
Thank you, also, for your kind comment on my post yesterday. It was hard for me and I have been amazed by the responses. I appreciate it very much.
