We used to have a BBQ place that we loved in Brooklyn Park called TC Ribs. It was just a little place in a strip mall but had great BBQ! We were so sad when they closed their doors. That was probably 4 years ago now and we have been in search of a replacement ever since!
It wasn't until Sunday afternoon that our palettes have been pleased! On Friday we were driving up 169 through Champlin and saw the sign for Q Fanatic. We were quick to say that we would go there for lunch/dinner this weekend and Sunday we had that opportunity!
I will start out saying that the decor and atmosphere have something to be desired but once we got our food that was all forgotten. The ribs were fall off the bone yummy, the pulled pork moist and flavorful. The sides we picked for our meals: freshly cut french fries, thin crisp onion straws, delicious Parmesan potatoes gratinee, and adequate baked beans.
They have been open 9 months now and definitely deserve to remain that way! We promised the owners as we raved about the food that we would spread the word. So, if you are in the mood for BBQ and in the Champlin area, please give this local non-chain restaurant a try! We don't want to lose another good BBQ place!
