Third Times a Charm

Tell me how and why a little girl has to go through having strep throat three times in two months! Got the dreaded call this afternoon that Anna had thrown up at Mary's house and has a fever. She did complain of her head hurting this morning so it was all coming together. Sounds like strep! We should know by now what it "looks" like.

Sure enough the test was positive. And me, well, I have been sick for almost two weeks and my throat has been really hurting lately. But do I have it - Nope. Apparently, I could be a carrier that never gets it but unknowingly passes it on to others.

If you all are on the edge of your seat wondering if I got her to take her medicine this time around - here is the magic answer - there is a wonder drug called antibiotics in a shot. One short lived chaotic moment of having to hold her down on the table while she gets her 10 days worth of medicine. It was well worth it.

Now we are on the mends again! She was really down and out this time so I am hoping tomorrow things are looking up. And then I hope and pray that this is the last time this season that we have to go to Urgent Care. It is sad when your 4 year old recognizes the nurse and doctor from last time she was there. Please spring, please arrive and rid us of these winter illnesses! I would much rather deal with my ever increasing allergy issues!
