Homeward Bound

Just a quick update to let you know that I am in fact going home. TODAY.

I have been off the IV meds now since yesterday morning and on the oral medications. So far things have been super quiet and have had only a few contractions.

So the plan now? Home to strict bed rest. Back in next week for an appointment and weekly from there on out.

Things stay about the same until 36 weeks. It is then that my restrictions get lifted and some of the medications I am on stop or change. Six weeks seems so far off but when I have already spent 11 weeks in bed, six weeks really is not that far away.

Looking forward to being home with my family. Sleeping in my own bed. Having my TiVo. Not eating hospital food. Sleeping through the night. Opening my windows. Seeing Nora's room all set up! Did I mention being home with my family?

Congratulations! I'm sure being home with your family will be the best of all medicines.

6 weeks won't be long, trust me. It will literally fly by. When I went for my 30 week, I purposely asked when she thought I would be off strict bed rest because I wanted something to look forward to. When the doctor said 35-36 weeks, I felt that that amount of time was much more manageable, and much easier to digest. I am now a few days away from 36 weeks and time just keeps zooming along! I'm so happy for you that you are getting to go home. What a relief!
